Admission is free and open to the public.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>About the show: "If Jack Kerouac, <a href="http://broadwayworld.com/people/Jim_Thompson/">Jim Thompson</a> &amp; Mario Puzo were to pen on an unauthorized parody of Sweeney Todd. It would be Barbicide, a tasty noirish revenge play of interwoven monologues, underscoring the consequences of coincidence and fate.&nbsp;&nbsp;Written by Sean Pomposello and directed by Christian Amato, the team that presented &ldquo;Bitch,&rdquo; earlier this year at <a href="http://broadwayworld.com/people/The_Players/">The Players</a> Theatre, Barbicide is a delicious m&eacute;lange of beat poetry and hard boiled patois, with just a dash of Mafioso mythology.&nbsp; It&rsquo;s a whole new twist on Fleet Street."</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>"Barbicide brings a contemporary feel to the classic legend of Sweeney Todd." director Christian Amato said. "Our audience really enjoyed the play when we had workshopped it in November. By presenting the reading in a vintage tonsorial like Moustache, we hope more aspects of the piece can be discovered."&nbsp;</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>Barbicide will feature Paulette Oliva, Angie Atkinson, and Douglas Sharf. The role of Toddesco will be played by TTP alum, Arthur Aulisi. Visit&nbsp;<a href="http://www.thetheatreproject.org/" target="_blank">www.TheTheatreProject.org</a>&nbsp;for more info.</div>
